One thing that I have noticed on an almost daily basis (or at least for the past week I've been here) is that people here are quite relaxed. In fact, they seem to have no concept of time.
Now, I like to think that I'm someone who is pretty patient. Give me 1.5 hours commute downtown, I'm fine. However, whether it be genetics, lack of sleep, being from Toronto, or a combination of all 3, I seem to have lost my ability to wait PATIENTLY.
2 prime examples from my week thus far:
2.5 hours- getting my student ID card
3 hours- getting my metropass
On the bright side, I made some friends along the way. What else do you do but talk to your fellow queue members, and find out that they are from Singapore? Instant bonding :). Now if only I would stop mixing up my Chinese with the French...
