Let's be clear

So this memory popped up during one of my many mental tangents at work today.

My family wanted to change our phone plan so last night, the 5 of us sat together as we made the dreaded phone call to our lovely friends at Rogers. It was a stressful affair. After 1 hour of talking in circles with the customer service rep, we found ourselves basically at square 1. Again.

Having hung up, we all sighed resolutely, and proceeded to go about our activities of the night. Just before I got up, my brother said, "We have to be clear and know what we want." My other brother chimed in (singing), "Like Ted Mosby, you need to say what you NEED." Hearing that, I HAD to pipe in, "Guys, just say what you need to say."

Two unimpressed stares followed. I didn't even get the slow clap or consolitary laugh. Cmon guys!
